Mobile Cranes
We specialise in the hiring out of mobile cranes to our clients in the mining and construction industries. These cranes are mounted on trucks and designed to be easily transported to your site and used with different types of load and cargo. There is little or no setup or assembly, as opposed to tower cranes that are fixed to the ground on a concrete slab. A truck mounting provides the mobility for this type of crane.
Our truck mounted cranes consist of two parts: the carrier and the lifting component, which includes the boom. These two components work together through a turntable, allowing the lifting component to swing from side to side.

Steel Erection
Mobile cranes are often used for steel erection, which consists of four main tasks:
- Ensuring that the foundations are safe for erection to commence
- Components are then lifted and placed into position, usually by using cranes
- The structure is aligned by checking that column bases are lined and level and columns are plumb
- Bolting-up which means securing all the bolted connections to give rigidity to the frame
